FULL-SCOPE RENOVATION
This project is near and dear to our hearts because it was our own condo!
We purchased this dated condo in the heart of Kitsilano on W4th in 2019. We lived right across the street and repeatedly saw the listing decrease in asking price as it remained on the market week after week. We ended up viewing the place, we could see why others had passed up the opportunity. With old coffee cups, crayon on the walls and a pretty ugly built-in corner unit - it left much to be desired, but to us - it was perfect. We bricked the fireplace which became the centrepiece of our living space, we took the sliding doors off of the den and arched the entryway to create the perfect office nook that served us well during the WFH days of 2020. We chose a grey-blue tone for our kitchen and pioneered a slated profile cabinet with our cabinetry partner company Swede Kitchens. Integrated appliances gave the space a much more seamless look and feel. We moved our fridge to the side wall and added additional storage space with bench seating. Our en-suite bathroom became an oasis with a curved glass panelled shower, custom vanity and heated terrazzo flooring. It was hard to give this place up, but in the end, it was purchased by a couple from out of town after viewing it over Facetime! We loved this home and felt it perfectly reflected The West Coast Home brand upon completion.
